International Energy Agency sees oil markets "realigning" in 2017

The Paris-based agency sees continued oversupply in 2016 but the supply destruction will result in a shortfall by 2018. The IEA sees continued growth in OPEC production, powered by increases from Iran and Iraq, but much slower growth in US shale production. The EIA predicts Canadian oil production will reach 5.2 million bbl/day by 2021 powered by continued growth in the oil sands, expected to reach 3.4 million bbl/day in the next 5 years.
