TransCanada abandons plans to build oil export terminal In Quebec

The Energy East pipeline will now only have one terminal, located in Saint John, NB. The other terminal, originally located in Cacouna, Quebec, has been scrapped due to the presence of beluga whales in the St. Lawrence. The change does not affect the economics of the 1.1 million bpd pipeline.
