Premier Notley to Trudeau: we must get to yes on a pipeline

Premier Notley to Trudeau: we must get to yes on a pipeline

In her address to all Albertans ahead of next week's provincial budget, Premier Notley reassured Albertans that no cuts are coming to health or education and instead the province will focus on creating jobs through infrastructure spending, energy diversification and more support for local businesses. The premier had harsh words for PM Trudeau, noting the province has implemented tough climate change legislation which should give it permission to build pipelines to tidewater. Edmonton's exclusion from extended EI benefits was also noted as something that "needs to be fixed".

The government is expected to unveil a $10 billion deficit next Thursday, the largest deficit (relative to GDP) since the 1992/1993 fiscal year.
