Summary of this week's US Petroleum Status Report for the week ending June 9, 2017:

  • Crude oil inventories fell 1.66 million barrels on declines in the Midwest and Gulf Coast.
  • The Cushing storage facility saw a drawdown of 1.2 million barrels.
  • Gasoline inventories unexpectedly rose 2.1 million barrels, despite lower production and lower imports.
  • Crude oil production rose 12,000 bbl/day last week. Output from the Lower 48 rose 25,000 bbl/day, offsetting declines from Alaska.
