Shell extends maintenance contract with Jacobs
Shell Canada has renewed its contract with Jacobs Engineering for maintenance and turnaround services at Scotford over the next 5 years.
Shell's Scotford Complex includes a bitumen upgrader, refinery, chemicals plant and a carbon capture and storage (CCS) facility, all located in Fort Saskatchewan, AB, just outside of Edmonton.
Jacobs says it already has about 300 full-time personnel on site. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Dallas-based Jacobs recently closed on its merger with CH2M, now employing over 74,000 people worldwide with annual revenues topping US$15 billion.
